Why can't I fast forward time?!?!

I know, I know. Every moment is a gift. I need to appreciate what I have right now. It's hard though when you're less than 6 months from having your first child and 3 months from eliminating yet another debt and getting soo much closer to your financial goals! All I need is a couple months to pass by quickly. Is that so much to ask!? Smile

But I remember feeling like this when we were in 5k of credit card debt. It was roughly July '08 and I felt like time was NEVER going to pass. But alas it did and that 5k was paid by January. Gotta learn to enjoy the journey, both my pregnancy one and the financial one.

Lame.

    Oh, I so relate. Smile Life is precious and I want to appreciate every second of it, but I'm a big dreamer and sometimes feel like I wallow for days or even months waiting for that big debt payoff, or that big vacation, or yeah, when I was pregnant, for the baby to get here already.

    All you can do is remind yourself to enjoy the time in between these big mile markers. And then say, "What can I do to enjoy today?" Start a book you've been looking forward to reading? Visit a new place in town you've never gone to? Have a date night with your husband? Even join a new Web site; reading posts from other pregnant ladies on a message board was enjoyable for me when I was feeling impatient and at loose ends... Smile

    Oh, yeah! I remember feeling like that (my wife is expecting) and all of a sudden we are now hitting the 8 month mark and it leads to a little bit of a freak-out. We aren't ready yet! We still have the insurance of one last month to get it all done (we hope), but the time flies. Have a good rest of the pregnancy!
