Excited to be an extreme couponer!

July 7th, 2010 at 02:09 am

After reading Jeffrey's Grocery Coupon Guide, I've decided I need to get my grocery bills in check! I spend about $80-100/ week for only 2 people (that includes groceries, house supplies, kitty litter, etc.) and I know it is WAY more than I need to be spending. With 3 months of baby leave fast approaching, I'm going to take the time to be domesticated and learn some of the things that I should've done long ago (i.e. Cooking and Couponing!). This Sunday I plan on picking up the Sunday paper and seeing the manufacturers coupons and what I can do with them. I'm trying to find some good websites that will match Weis store reward card deals w/ manufacturers coupons to get those super low prices. If anyone has any good ideas let me know!

It's a little sad that I'm wishing the week away just so I can pick up the Sunday paper and see how I can save some money - Haha oh well.

I have a great binder with the baseball card inserts in it to hold coupons. Each page is labeled with an address label that sticks out for easy viewing.

Don't forget to print off coupons from the internet!!

The front of my binder has a pocket and I keep two paper clips on it. Before I go shopping, I scan the ads and pull the coupons I intend on using and put them on the paper clips!

Good luck to you! Keep us posted on your progress. You may as well start stocking up on diapers if you intend on using disposables. Use those coupons in advance!! Smile

I like www.afullcup.com and www.slickdeals.net - their grocery forum. It's like having a part time job! The payoff is great. I'm sorta taking things easy this week - been running non stop for over 3 months now. Couponing for almost 2 years.

We went on a frugal binge with our grocery shopping and it would lead us to cut our bill more than in half, just through coupons and buying what was on sale. It was nice to see that we could have some insurance of dropping expenses like that, even though sometimes we missed out on our favorite foods from time to time...
